Chelsea Finnemore
While born in Toronto, Ontario, and currently based in Montreal, Quebec, Chelsea Finnemore never felt quite at home until she stepped off a plane at Piarco Airport in Trinidad over 15 years ago.
After years of visiting Trinidad and other parts of the Caribbean, Chelsea found herself choosing more and more to shop from small, local producers, creating unique, handcrafted pieces. This compulsion soon evolved into a desire to share these talented makers and creators with a broader market.
Salt & Papaya seeks to inject some colour into the North American retail market by presenting a curated, colourful selection of responsible Caribbean clothing, jewelry, and art.
